I have received the clock and barometer from Germany and I am so very pleased with them. It’s a pity I lost the providence of the battered clock that had done so many thousands of miles but these most beautiful instruments more than make up for the loss. I have mounted them in an oak board and will attach a brass plaque commemorating “Cape Corsair” in due course and do a bit of varnishing, but for the time being they are on the wall by my desk in pride of place.
