Due to an F40 experience, we – Matilde a Grand Soleil 37 – lost our propeller and were confronted with several weeks of retention in the marina! Calibra identified, organized, and arranged safe shipping and handling of a new J Prop direct to our side Thanks to the professional and passionate understanding and support, – we went back on sea in less than two weeks! I have received the clock and barometer from Germany and I am so very pleased with them. It’s a pity I lost the providence of the battered clock that had done so many thousands of miles but these most beautiful instruments more than make up for the loss. I have mounted them in an oak board and will attach a brass plaque commemorating “Cape Corsair” in due course and do a bit of varnishing, but for the time being they are on the wall by my desk in pride of place. Will you please pass on my thanks to Wempe for their kind considerations in this matter and my appreciation of their fine engineering pieces which I will treasure.
